Peter Costelloe - Founder & Co-Owner
Peter is the founder of Emerald VIP Services which has successfully grown an executive concierge business from Ireland to now being present in six countries across three continents.
Peter’s achievements include logistical planning for a vast array of A list celebrities, government officials and the senior decision makers within large multinational companies. Peter has been involved in the logistical support for two U.S. Presidential visits to Ireland and received a personal thank you from President Barack Obama after his trip to Ireland in May 2011.
Prior to founding Emerald VIP Services, Peter worked for a global corporate services company where he held managerial roles in Operations, Safety & Training, during which time Peter was also a member of the global sales and acquisition teams.
In 2010 Peter was the EMEA representative on a team of 6 global managers who designed an international training manual. This manual went on to win a leadership award for customer relations and service from a pool of 5 companies with over 10,000 employees.
Steve Gulvin - Director & Co-Owner
Steve joined Emerald in 2014 as Director Sales, Marketing & Strategic Planning having spent over 30 years in the executive travel, hotel and aviation industry. He has been responsible in expanding Emerald outside Ireland and establishing a network across Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific. He has also enhanced Emerald service offerings including the introduction of its new VIP airport gate to home service currently available at over 35 airports globally.
Prior to joining Emerald, Steve worked for a global corporate services company as Director of Sales & Marketing and travelled extensively throughout Europe, Middle East, Asia and the USA. He has also worked for Head of State organisations in the Middle East and the UK including The Queens Flight where he had the honour to be presented to Her Majesty the Queen of England in 1984.
David Best - Director & Co-Owner
David Best joined Emerald VIP Services in 2015 following a career in both aviation and the Scotch Whisky Industry. In addition to his Director role with Emerald, he is also the founder and principal of Claymore Hill Advisory, a global aviation and business advisory consultancy. David further serves as Vice Chairman of the Asian Business Aviation Association and sits on the Governing Board of the International Business Aviation Council.
He has worked and lived in Europe, Asia and the USA throughout his career.
Prior to returning to the USA in 2015, David was President of BBA Aviation Asia Pacific based in Singapore, where he headed up the strategic development of the business along with the operational performance of BBA Aviation Companies in the Region. Previously he served as Chief Commercial Officer in the USA and was Managing Director Europe, Middle East and Africa for Signature Flight Support, the world’s largest business aviation fixed base operator.
His background also includes time in the Scotch Whisky Industry where he held roles in Supply Chain Management and Marketing.
He is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde where he earned his MBA and is a member of the Institute of Directors.He is based in Orlando, USA.
Keith Wood - Co-Owner
Keith Wood joined Emerald in 2016 as a Co-Owner. Keith has worked with a number of large global brands providing expertise in sponsorship, strategy and marketing implementation. He advises on Emerald’s growth strategy which includes expanding Emerald’s rapidly growing business across new geographies and services including www.airportgateway.com, the global airport meet and assist business.
Keith is a former captain of the Irish, British & Irish Lions, Munster, Harlequins & Garryowen Rugby Teams. He is also co-owner of W2 Consulting which provides a wide range of consultative assignments in Ireland and the UK to a broad range of businesses including SME’s, Multinationals, Statutory Agencies, National Governing Bodies, professional sports bodies and community organisations.
Keith holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Limerick for services to Sport and was the inaugural winner of the IRB World Player of the Year in 2001. He is a Patron of Special Olympics, Chair of the Healthy Ireland Council and Patron of the UNESCO Chair for Inclusive Physical Education, Sport, Recreation and Fitness in Tralee IT.
